What Happens at Your Appointment?
Our experienced staff will guide you through the entire process and assist with style selections that perfectly match your wedding vision. Whether you prefer classic looks or modern styles, we’ll help you choose the ideal tuxedos and accessories for the groom and your groomsmen. Renting for weddings is ideal as it allows you to precisely coordinate everyone in the wedding party identically with premium garments with a professional fit. Plus, it's easy!
We’ll collect the names and necessary information for every member of your wedding party and carefully enter them into our reservation system. The groom will receive precise measurements for his future try-on, ensuring an excellent fit from the start. You’ll also receive login information for our convenient Online Event Manager. This tool allows you to track your orders, view details, and stay updated on everything going on with your wedding party including styles, payments, dates and more. This tool helps you stay on top of your groomsmen with confidence and convenience.
Fitting the Guys
Every member of your wedding party will come in at their own convenience to get fit for their tuxedo or suit rental. The bride and groom do not need to be present for this step, although some parties do like to come in as a group to get fitted together which is perfectly fine. If this is the case we do prefer you make another appointment for group fittings to ensure the best experience. At the fitting, each groomsman tries on fitting specific clothing so we can determine the correct sizes. These fitting specific clothing pieces are not your final outfit. You will get to wear your full ensemble on your final fitting day. A $40 deposit is required per person at the time of fitting, or you may pay in full if you wish. You will receive a receipt with all terms and final fitting details. Keep this handy so you remember your final fitting date.
Out-of-State Guests
Can’t get fit in person? No problem. Louie's Tux Shop specializes in taking care of groomsmen who will be traveling in from far away. Out of town groomsmen can stop in to a local formalwear provider near where they live, and receive a complementary fitting. You can download our fitting measurement form here. Out-of-state guests can submit their measurements using our convenient online link here. After your online submission you will be contacted by phone for your deposit payment.
Final Fittings
Everything is prepared two days before the wedding. The guys will receive a text message when their tuxedos are ready for pickup — sometimes as early as Monday. There is no extra cost to pick up your rental when you receive your text message. During the final fitting, each tuxedo is tried on to ensure a perfect fit. If everything looks great, the guys can take their tuxedos home that day. Any needed alterations or adjustments will be completed and ready the next day. Full payment is required before any tuxedo leaves the store. We strongly recommend trying on your tuxedo in store. We can not guarantee the fit of any tuxedo or suit rental that leaves the store without completing a final fitting.
Returning Your Tuxedos
Rentals must be returned on the next business day after the wedding. For Friday and Saturday weddings, we offer a grace period of 1 day. We’ll check the pockets of all clothing upon return to make sure nothing was left behind. Anyone can return the tuxedos after the wedding. One person wants to return for the entire wedding party? No problem. You can return to any Louie's Tux Shop store. They are all connected. You’ll receive a receipt confirming that everything has been returned in good condition.
Bonus for the Bride
When you rent tuxedos at Louie’s Tux Shop, the bride receives 30% off our professional gown cleaning and preservation service! Simply drop off the wedding gown with the tuxedo rentals, or at your earliest convenience. Your gown will be processed at our Indiana production facility and typically takes 4–6 weeks to complete.
