Louie's Tux Shop Prom Video Contest – Official Rules (Effective 02/24/2026)
1. Sponsor Louie's Tux Shop, 716 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46616
2. Eligibility: Must be at least 15 years old to participate and must be enrolled in an accredited high school during the 2025-26 school year. Must be a resident in Indiana or a county that directly borders Indiana. Employees of Louie's Tux Shop, their immediate families, and persons living in the same household are ineligible. Void where prohibited. Entrants under 18 (a "Minor") must have consent of their parent or legal guardian to participate. Parent or legal guardian must review the submission and agree to all contest rules.
3. Entry Period: Students will be allowed to submit entries until Sunday, May 17, 2026. No submissions will be accepted after this time.
4. How to Enter: Create a 15-second original video on your personal TikTok account promoting prom and Louie’s Tux Shop in a positive way. Submit the public TikTok video link via the official Sign Up Form at https://www.louiestuxshop.com/louies-tiktoktux-challenge-form . Only one entry per student.
5. Content Requirements & Guidelines: Videos must: (a) be no longer than 15 seconds; (b) positively portray prom; (c) prominently promote Louie's Tux Shop; (d) be original works created by the entrant; (e) comply with TikTok's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; and (f) contain no explicit, vulgar, defamatory, discriminatory, violent, or illegal content. Entrants warrant that their video does not infringe any third-party copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or publicity rights and that they have obtained all necessary permissions (e.g., from anyone appearing in the video). Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these requirements or is deemed inappropriate in its sole discretion.
6. Judging & Winner Selection
“Most Likes” $1000 Scholarship: After review and approval, Sponsor will post qualifying videos to its official TikTok account. The entry with the most verified likes on the Sponsor-posted version as of 11:59 PM EST on May 18, 2026 wins. Sponsor will use platform analytics or third-party verification; decisions on validity and final counts are final. In case of ties, Sponsor may divide scholarships equally between the participants that are tied.
“Best Quality” $1000 Scholarship: A panel of judges (“Selection Committee”) selected by Sponsor will evaluate approved entries on creativity, production quality, adherence to theme, and promotional effectiveness. Judges' decisions are final and binding. All decisions are final; no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Notification to Winners: Sponsor will contact each of the winners by phone and/or email within 48 hours after the contest end date. Participants will have 72 hours from this time to confirm the acceptance of the scholarship. If no confirmation is made within 72 hours, the scholarship will be awarded to the participant with the next most number of likes and next choice of the Selection Committee. The process will repeat in the same fashion until a partipcant confirms acceptance of the scholarship.
8. Scholarship Awards: Each $1,000 college scholarship will be awarded as a check to the “Most Likes” and “Best Quality” winners within 30 days of the completion of the contest. Total ARV: $2,000. Prizes are non-transferable, non-substitutable except by Sponsor, and winners are responsible for all taxes and reporting.
7. Intellectual Property License & Publicity: By entering, each entrant (and parent/guardian of a Minor) irrevocably grants Louie's Tux Shop a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, modify, display, distribute, and create derivative works from the video, entrant's name, likeness, voice, and biographical information in any media now known or hereafter devised, for any purpose including advertising, promotion, and commercial exploitation, without further compensation, attribution, or approval. Entrants waive all moral rights. Sponsor may (but is not obligated to) post videos on its channels.
8. Release of Liability & Indemnification: By participating, each entrant (and parent/guardian of a Minor) agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless Louie's Tux Shop, its owners, employees, agents, affiliates, TikTok, Inc., and all related parties (collectively "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: participation in the Contest; creation, submission, or use of the video; acceptance, possession, or use of any prize; technical failures; human error; unauthorized intervention; or any injury, death, or property damage. Entrants further agree to indemnify and defend the Released Parties against any third-party claims (including copyright, privacy, or defamation claims) arising from the entrant's breach of these Rules or the content of their video.
9. Disclaimers & Limitations: The Contest and prizes are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries; incorrect like counts; platform outages; or events beyond reasonable control (force majeure). Sponsor may cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time without liability. Participants understand Louie's Tux Shop has the right to withdraw any entry if there is any suspicion of manipulation to the “like” counts.
10. General Conditions
No purchase necessary; a purchase will not increase chances of winning.
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with TikTok.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason, including rule violations, suspected fraud, or conduct detrimental to the Contest or Sponsor's reputation.
Governing law: State of Indiana. Disputes shall be resolved individually in Indiana courts; no class actions.
Winners may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (if applicable) IRS Form W-9. Failure to do so within 14 days results in forfeiture.
Privacy: Personal information is collected solely for administration and subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy
